Introducing the third edition release in the series celebrating Robert Fleming’s 30th year as custodian of Tomintoul Distillery; this Single Cask 30 Year Old Tomintoul Single Malt Scotch Whisky is unique and full-bodied with a depth and richness of flavour that has developed throughout its years of maturation in the fresh, pure air in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park.
This particular cask was expertly handcrafted by coopers at the famous Speyside Cooperage using American oak staves from select bourbon barrels. It has been the perfect vessel to gently mature the Tomintoul spirit for the last 30 years and has imparted a beautiful complexity and enhanced the elegant fruitiness of the whisky.
Nose:Â Aromas of tangy stone fruits and candied peels mingled with acacia honey, cinnamon Danish, stem ginger and citrus.
Taste:Â Rich and layered with notes of poached pears, apple strudel, preserved lemons and golden syrup with hints of bramble, clove and toasted oak.
Finish:Â Sweet pain aux raisins and sugared almonds with blossom honey and baking spices lingering on the tongue.
