Ardmore – Tuxedo Black – Single Cask 2008 13 year old Whisky

Nose: The smoky notes are fragrant and delicate, like smouldering heather. Sweet almonds are also discernible. When water is added, a light linseed oil and putty scent joins the mélange.

Palate: The taste at natural strength is surprisingly sweet
to start, then unusually salty, with fragrant smoke in the finish.

Finish: Robust. Water brings out a light acidity and reduces the saltiness.
