A small batch of seven barrels from Aultmore distillery has been used to create this Speyside Single Malt, distilled in 2011 and aged for twelve years. Situated on the edge of the Foggie Moss in the heart of Speyside, Aultmore’s fermentation process lends itself to the identifiable ‘fragrant on the nose, substantial on the tongue’ characteristic.
Nose: Raspberry leaf caramel with a touch of toasted oak. Roses chocolates, blackcurrant concentrate and a hint of mint.
Palate: Loads of vanilla custard with raspberry coulis coat the palate. Buttered popcorn and white chocolate drops with a touch of lemon oil.
Finish: The sweetness continues but is tempered by tarragon which lingers.
