Bowmore 1996 13 Year Old, Whisky Vault Ltd Edition

This Bowmore, the second limited edition bottling from Islay for The Whisky Vault, was distilled in refill sherry cask number 960015/16 in March 1996 and bottled over 13 years later in September 2009 as one of just 50 very limited bottling’s.

Islay artist Justin Ruthven-Tyres had been commissioned for the artwork and once again has come up with a stunning illustration, depicting a “puffer” at Bowmore pier, either delivering barley or collecting the famous malt! We are told this method of transport was used up until the early seventies!

A cracking little dram, backed up by WhiskyFun regular critic, Angus, whom awarded it an excellent 88 points.
