Caperdonich 1972 16 Year Old, Sailing Ships Series with Case – Benan

This 16 year old Speyside single malt was distilled at the Caperdonich distillery on the 24th October 1972 and bottled in November 1988 by Signatory Vintage for their Sailing Ships series.

This entry in the series remembers the Benan iron ship that was launched by Barclay, Curle & Co. in 1875. Its legacy was cut short in 1888 as it was discovered shipwrecked at Cloate’s Point, Australia.
