Craigellachie 37 Year Old

Craigellachie was built in 1891 and is one of few distilleries in Scotland to have retained its worm tub condensers. These provide less copper contact which creates a robust and weighty spirit that takes to longer maturation times like a duck to water. This 37-year-old was matured in refill casks before being finished in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, which provided further depth and complexity to the single malt. There are aromas of roasted pineapple, tarte Tatin and banana bread on the nose, leading to notes of coconut oil, bright citrus and almond on the palate.
