Limited to 220 decanters, with every drop representing 50 years experienced simultaneously. The maturation began from one cask in 1966 and two in 1968, before they were married together in 2018 and placed in American Oak refill casks. The whisky was left to finish in these casks for two years before being removed and bottled in January 2020.
Nose:Â Rich orange peel and clementine meet complex notes of Madeira cake and muscovado sugar. Maturing over time into the dewy petrichor of a Dufftown morning, mingling with flowering geranium.
Palate:Â A lingering sweetness softens into deep, silky smooth oak tannin and sun-dried vanilla.
Finish:Â Oaky, sweet and incredibily long lasting.
