A scarce older single cask bottle of Tomintoul. This Tomintoul-Glenlivet 18 year old is an interesting historical item. Distilled in 1967, three years after Tomintoul opened, the cask was exported to Ireland where it was matured in a bonded dunnage warehouse under ‘ideal conditions’ on a clay floor. This practise would now be illegal; all Scotch whisky must be distilled, matured, blended and bottled in Scotland.
